Create and Save Waylines

Way line type selection can be accessed from the VarioGuide information page, the VarioGuide main page and the Field settings page, see §4.1.2, page 37.

NOTE: Before creating a way line, specify a field name and record a boundary if necessary.

A/B line:

After you have selected way line A/B, straight way lines will be created between two points A and B. Button A will appear in the terminal. If you press this, a value will appear indicating the minimum dis- tance that must be driven before button B appears and can be pressed. The way line can be saved with a freely selectable name. More than one way line can be saved for each field.

  • After you have selected way line A+, the pop-up shown above appears.
NOTE: When the vehicle moves, the angle is updated.
If the focus is applied, the angle is no longer up- dated and can be changed manually.
  • An angle of between 0 and 360 degrees can be selected.

NOTE: North corresponds to 0, East 90, South 180 and West 270 degrees.

Contour:

After you have selected Contour, the START button will appear in the terminal, followed by PAUSE and STOP after START has been pressed. Recording is interrupted by pressing PAUSE and resumed by pressing CONTINUE. “Recording” flashes to indicate that the system is recording the track currently in progress. If recording is interrupted, it will be hidden. Once a sufficient distance has been driven, you will see the STOP button, which then stops the recording process.

B- Overlap input field

C- Way line deviation display

Auto Offset (B): If the overlap/under-lap becomes too great while working on the field, the tractor can be guided exactly on way line by hand and AUTO OFFSET (softkey field in front of the tractor) pressed. The way lines are moved to the centre of the tractor. Automatic steering then has to be re-ac- tivated from the MFA. This function cannot be se- lected while automatic way line guidance is active.

Manual way line offset (D): If the tractor diverges too far from the way line (e.g. on a slope), the way line can be moved to the right or left while the trac- tor is moving and without interrupting way line guid- ance by entering a decimal value (D) and pressing the softkey to the right or left. This will move the track by the value entered here. The tractor moves in the direction of the arrow.

Overall offset (E, F): Overall offset is the sum of Auto Offset and manual way line offset. Press the softkey (F) to reset the value to 0.
